Ohio has no chill: Cincinnati, Columbus among least-relaxed cities in the US, study finds

It’s time to chill out, Ohio . We have some of the least-relaxed cities in the United States, including three in the bottom 10.

A report from LawnStarter ranked 2024’s most relaxed cities, evaluating the housing affordability, the average length of a workday, depression rates, and access to mental health providers from 500 U.S. cities.

Spoiler: Ohio didn’t land in the Top 50, or even the Top 300 of the country’s relaxed cities.

About 34% of adults report feeling that stress is overwhelming for them on most days, according to a June Forbes article. Constant stress can contribute to burnout, health issues, and anxiety. Common side effects of stress are known to impact your body, your mood, and your behavior, according to the Mayo Clinic .

With all of the seven Ohio cities fell on the bottom half of the list, you could say that the Buckeye State needs to learn how to chill out and relax. Here’s where Columbus, Cincinnati, Akron, Cleveland and other Ohio cities ranked on LawnStarter’s most relaxed list. (Spoiler alert: not very high).
