Is Zac Taylor on the hot seat? Why Bengals coach is unlikely to be fired in 2024 after 0-3 start

Zac Taylor has coached the Bengals to plenty of slow starts. Since he replaced Marvin Lewis in 2019, the Bengals have started 0-2 in five of his six seasons.

But now that the Bengals have extended that to falling to 0-3 in 2024, will Taylor be on the hot seat? Cincinnati has high expectations with a healthy Joe Burrow at QB but instead has lost two home games as big favorites, to the Patriots in Week 1 and the Commanders in Week 3. In between, they lost a thriller to the Chiefs in Kansas City in Week 2.

Taylor and the Bengals have been a major early disappointment and haven’t played well to get where they are with issues on both sides of the ball. But on the other hand, Taylor is only three seasons removed from leading the Bengals to an AFC championship and Super Bowl 56 with Burrow.
