Tonight’s showers & storms could be strong, even severe

CINCINNATI (WXIX) – Wednesday is a First Alert Weather Day – Strong to severe storms will be possible between 8 p.m and 1 a.m.

Wednesday temperatures will be similar to Tuesday with afternoon highs in the upper 60s to near 70°. It will also be windy with gusts likely around 40 miles per hour. These winds are ahead of a system that will bring showers and thunderstorms on Wednesday night and continue into Thursday.

There is a slight risk (level 2 out of 5) for strong to severe thunderstorms along and west of I-75 in the FOX19 NOW viewing area. The timing for a line of scattered thunderstorms will begin around 8 p.m. for western locations in Southeast Indiana and progress east, weakening as it moves into the Cincinnati-Metro area.
