Man arrested after reportedly releasing pit bulls to attack officers during escape attempt in Winton Hills

CINCINNATI (WXIX) – A man was arrested on Saturday after a series of events that escalated to a pit bull attack on a peace officer in Winton Hills, according to a Hamilton County Municipal Court Complaint.

The complaint says that Darryl Stowers, 25, is accused of releasing pit bulls from a closet to attack police officers while evading capture, resulting in one peace officer being bitten.

Jail records show that Stowers is facing one count of resisting arrest, two counts of felonious assault, one count of receiving stolen property, and one count of using weapons while intoxicated…
