CINCINNATI (WXIX) -The Storm Prediction Center has placed the Tri-State under a slight and enhanced risk for strong to severe storms. These storms will most likely be in the afternoon and evening. Damaging wind gusts and large hail will be the primary concerns.
The lousy low that is providing our late-week storm chances is looking to stall over the Ohio Valley this weekend. That’s going to keep increased rain chances in the forecast Saturday and a few showers in the outlook for Sunday. While a nuisance, the lightning threat this weekend will be slim. Expect temps to still be comfy with mainly cloudy skies for the Flying Pig Marathon Sunday.
Next week, unsettled weather will continue, but the chances look to be mostly lower than what we’ve seen this week thus far. After a cool down this weekend with highs in the low to mid 60s, we’ll rebound back to more seasonable levels through the middle of next week…
