CINCINNATI, OH — A tragic turn of events unfolded Friday afternoon when a Hamilton County Sheriff’s deputy was struck and killed by a vehicle while directing traffic near the University of Cincinnati in the Corryville neighborhood.

The incident occurred around 1 p.m. on May 2 at 200 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, as the deputy — who had recently retired and was working special duty — was helping manage traffic in the area.
