‘It’s never too late’: NKY firefighter enlists in Air Force just 1 year shy of age limit

COVINGTON, Ky. (WKRC) — Joe Kappa, a seasoned firefighter and paramedic, is embarking on a new journey as he enlists in the United States Air Force at the age of 41, just one year shy of the age limit.

Kappa, who has dedicated over two decades to serving his community, including eight years with the Covington Fire Department, is set to become a geospatial intelligence specialist.
