A $15 million, custom-built aviation school for Butler County high school students is on the glide path to completion at Middletown’s airport.
The construction of southwest Ohio’s largest airport-located aviation career training center is on schedule for its February 2026 opening, and workers recently topped out the 30,000-square-foot school next to the airstrip at Middletown Regional Airport, said school officials.
When completed, Butler Tech’s $15 million Aviation Education Hangar will replace cramped, make-shift classrooms currently shoehorned into one of the airport’s hangars and student enrollment will jump from 50 local students to about 200, said Rich Packer, aviation instructor and head of career school program…
