NKY superintendent barred from certification in state following criminal investigation

FORT MITCHELL, Ky. (WKRC) — The Kentucky Education Professional Standards Board has barred Beechwood Superintendent Dr. Mike Stacy from obtaining a teaching or administrative certificate in the state.

This decision follows a criminal investigation led by Kentucky State Police, according to a statement from Beechwood Schools.

The board announced its decision earlier in June, stating that Stacy, who is set to retire on June 30, “shall neither apply for, nor be issued, a teaching, administrative, or emergency certificate in the Commonwealth of Kentucky at any time in the future.”…
