Parking law limits drivers in one state from parking in front of their neighbors’ house

Parking your car outside a neighbor’s house might seem harmless but in some parts of the country it could land you in trouble if you’re not paying attention to local laws.

In Ohio, certain cities have time and distance restrictions that drivers need to follow, even if they’re parking on public streets.

In Columbus, for example, it’s against the law to leave a car in the same spot for more than 72 hours without moving it at least 75 feet. The rule is enforced by the city’s Parking Services Division, and residents can report suspected violations through the 311 system…
