CINCINNATI (WXIX) – Cincinnati leaders have proposed a $5.5 million plan to purchase and renovate a 59-year-old building in Queensgate for use as a day center for individuals experiencing homelessness, but community groups have raised concerns.
The city intends to acquire the building at 760 W. Fifth Street, currently owned by the Cincinnati Museum Center, which has announced its intention to sell. Advocates assert that enhancing the hours and services of existing organizations may be a more effective and cost-efficient solution.
