ERLANGER, Ky. (WKRC) — A local man known for spreading joy by waving at drivers along Turkeyfoot Road is recovering in the hospital after being struck by a pickup truck.
Brad Fritz, affectionately dubbed the “Wheelchair Waver,” has been a familiar and uplifting presence in the Northern Kentucky community since the COVID-19 pandemic began.
Jeff Niceley, owner of Niceley’s Appliance Repair in Erlanger, described Fritz as “an inspiration,” adding, “I think it’s amazing that somebody that can make you smile after maybe you’ve had a long day, you go by and you see him out there waving at you and having a good time.”…
