Local riverboat owner calls for public dock after Hooters closure in Newport

CINCINNATI, Ohio (WXIX) – After Hooters in Newport closed, a Cincinnati riverboat owner is advocating for the installation of a public dock.

“Access to land from the river, we don’t have any option at all,” said Taa Tomondo, owner of Queen City Riverboats.

Tomondo says they can take people all the way downtown. With no docks, people can’t check out the town itself…
