Plans to relocate College Hill Library to neighborhood business district

A proposed $2.1 million deal would move the College Hill Library to the neighborhood’s business district, placing it in a busier, more visible spot and helping fuel the area’s ongoing revitalization.

The College Hill Community Urban Redevelopment Corporation (CHCURC) and the Cincinnati & Hamilton County Public Library are finalizing the purchase agreement for 1609 W. North Bend Road, located at the corner of Hamilton Avenue and North Bend Road.

A 90-day due diligence period will take place immediately.

Once the plan is official, the neighborhood’s library branch will move from its current location at 1400 W. North Bend Road, just a few blocks away. Both organizations see the relocation as a strategic investment in a more walkable, vibrant district that better serves residents and businesses…
