‘Two guys came and shot him up’: 911 calls detail shooting of man at DHL facility near CVG

CINCINNATI (WKRC) – New information paints a clearer picture of what exactly happened during a shooting at DHL at the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport.

Two people allegedly opened fire on a car on July 7, prompting several calls to 911.

  • “I don’t know if they were gunshots or fireworks, but there’s a fire out in the parking lot. It looks like [that] from here,” said a 911 caller.
  • “We’re at building 16. Someone got shot, and a car’s on fire,” said a caller.
  • “Two guys came and shot him up,” said another 911 caller.
  • “Yeah, I just saw someone get shot, bro,” said an additional caller to 911.

Witnesses told police they saw two people wearing masks get out of a sedan while holding rifles. They heard them fire several times into a Dodge Charger. One witness told officers he also saw a Roman candle or some type of firework mortar fired into the vehicle.

The suspects then reportedly took off in their vehicle. Fire crews took the victim to the hospital with serious injuries…
