‘Want to see results’: Residents across Cincinnati demand more action amid crime surge

DOWNTOWN (WKRC) — Recent surges in crime and violence in downtown Cincinnati and Over-the-Rhine have prompted residents and business owners to call for action from city officials and police.

Greg Koch, a longtime business owner on Fourth Street, expressed concerns about the area’s transformation into a residential neighborhood.

“This isn’t the entertainment district, and it can’t be,” Koch said. “If people want to party at two or three o’clock in the morning, that’s fine. Let’s do it somewhere in an area that is set up for that.”…
