Downtown brawl suspect extradited from Georgia; another suspect faces additional charge

CINCINNATI (WKRC) — The man accused of assaulting a woman known as “Holly” during the downtown Cincinnati brawl has been extradited from Georgia to Ohio.

He’s one of seven defendants in the case, with six set to appear for their common pleas arraignments on Thursday. The suspect, identified as 38-year-old Patrick Rosemond, was originally taken into custody by the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Atlanta Metropolitan Major Offender’s Task Force.

In a related development, one of the defendants, Montanez Merriweather, now faces a federal firearms charge. A federal grand jury indicted Merriweather on Wednesday for illegally possessing a firearm as a previously convicted felon. The indictment alleges that Merriweather possessed a 9mm pistol three weeks before the brawl, a federal crime that carries a penalty of up to 15 years in prison…
