CINCINNATI (WKRC) — Mental health providers in the community have reported a sudden surge in young people seeking help for various concerns, coinciding with the restart of the school year.
“Just last night we had a lot of admissions… we have seen an increase in admissions since the schools opened back up which is a month ago,” said Juliana Tafamombe, Clinical Services Director at Glenwood Behavioral Health. Tafamombe expressed concern over the assessments of these young individuals.
“For the most part they present to our hospital with suicidal ideations, homicidal ideations, aggressive behaviors, but also just in active psychosis.”…
