Man sentenced after leaving two dogs to die as“retaliation,” court records say

CINCINNATI (WXIX) – A Clermont County man who was arrested in July for his involvement in the death of two dogs has been sentenced to more than a year in jail and banned from ever owning an animal again, court documents show.

Kevin Oberschlake, 59, of Franklin Township, has been ordered to 500 days in jail after he was convicted of two counts of abandoning animals and two counts of cruelty to animals following an incident in which two dogs were found dead by their owner on June 30, records say.

According to deputies at the time, Oberschlake was tasked with watching the dogs while their owner was incarcerated…
