The Montgomery Food Share program was founded in 2013 by Wendy New and her neighbors in the Montgomery Woods subdivision. The program provides meals to families in need in Hamilton County. Participants sign up online and receive a blue collection bag. They fill the bag with non-perishable food or personal care items.
Every two months, volunteers collect the filled bags and deliver them to a central location. All donations go to the Freestore Foodbank. The food bank distributes the items to individuals and families in need. The program offers a way for residents to contribute to their community…
