Construction on region’s newest concert venue begins

CINCINNATI (Cincinnati Business Courier) – The Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra and Music and Event Management Inc. have started construction on the new 20,000-capacity Farmer Music Center at the former Coney Island site in Cincinnati’s California neighborhood.

Permits already have been issued for earthwork, utilities, the foundation and site preparation, said MEMI CEO Mike Smith. Permits for the actual structures are expected next.

Work has been going on for several months, with completion set for 2027…
