WINTON HILLS, Ohio (WKRC) – Cincinnati is launching a pilot project to improve road safety by installing “speed tables” on busy streets.
The installations, which resemble large but gentler speed bumps, are designed to slow drivers.
The first speed tables were installed on Winneste Avenue in the Winton Hills neighborhood, an area with heavy pedestrian traffic from Winton Hills Elementary and a nearby recreation center. At least 12 people have been hit by cars in the area over the past five years.
