UC Nursing Professor Emerita Karen Bankston Honored as Great Living Cincinnatian for Impact on Local Healthcare

Dr. Karen Bankston, professor emerita at the University of Cincinnati College of Nursing, has been named one of four Great Living Cincinnatians by the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber. The award recognizes individuals for leadership, civic contributions, and achievements that have affected the community at local, state, and national levels.

Bankston joined UC’s faculty in 2012 as associate dean for clinical practice, partnership, and community engagement. She has helped develop partnerships and improve clinical experiences for nursing students.
