Road crews in Cincinnati gear up for winter storm with new strategies in place

CAMP WASHINGTON, Ohio (WKRC) – Cincinnati road crews have begun pretreating roads in anticipation of an impending snowfall, working in rotating 12-hour shifts to ensure roads remain passable, particularly during Tuesday’s morning commute.

Crews are applying a brine solution and loading snowplows with salt at the Camp Washington Public Works Facility to prevent a repeat of last winter’s historic snowfall, which left more than 600 streets unplowed.
