Cincinnati man sentenced to 7 years for running Dayton chop shop

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – A Cincinnati man has been sentenced to seven years in federal prison for running a $1.5 million chop shop conspiracy operation in Dayton.

Court documents reveal that Kahrese Tracey Scott Lee worked with others to run an interstate stolen vehicle ring and used it to trade stolen cars and parts. Lee operated a garage in Dayton where he often disassembled stolen vehicles and removed their parts for resale or placement within another vehicle.

Lee would also steal vehicles himself. During a planned theft, Lee and his accomplices traveled from Ohio to Indiana, where they stole three vehicles worth more than $200,000 from an auto lot.
