After a trench collapsed on three workers in southwest Ohio, one man died. Now, the family is sharing their heartbreak after a father had to watch his deceased son be carried away.
On Friday, Dec. 5, first responders rushed to 1187 Valley Forge Drive in Miami Township following reports of a trapped worker, the Miami Township Fire and EMS said in a news release. When they arrived, they found two people in the trench, “buried up to their abdomens.”
Another person, who was not trapped, was using a shovel to help remove soil and told crew members that a third victim was “fully buried” under the collapsed trench…
