Covington man arrested in connection with 2 alleged house shootings

COVINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — Officers with the Covington Police Department, with assistance from Cincinnati’s Fugitive Apprehension Task Force and the FBI Covington Safe Streets Task Force, arrested a man Friday on a warrant in connection with two shootings.

According to a news release, 19-year-old Gemontray Drake allegedly fired shots at a home twice on Decoursey Avenue in the Latonia neighborhood. The first shooting occurred on Sunday, Dec. 14, and the second on Wednesday, Dec. 17.

Officials reported that a second occupied home was also struck during the second shooting.

The release said, on Dec. 19, Covington police and members of the FBI task force located Drake in a home on the 3500 block of Vine Street in Cincinnati. Members of the Cincinnati task force entered the home and took Drake into custody without incident…
