COVINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — The Covington Police Department SWAT team and U.S. Marshals executed a high-risk warrant Friday for a wanted fugitive.
Officers located Dakota Hacker, 26, in a home on the 1000 block of John Street around 5 p.m. Dec. 19 in connection with several warrants, including parole violation, first-degree fleeing or evading from police in a vehicle, and first-degree wanton endangerment. He was reportedly armed and dangerous, police said.

According to a news release from the department, Hacker barricaded himself inside the home. Officials attempted to negotiate with him but were unsuccessful, causing officers to use gas. Hacker later surrendered.
Hacker and a woman wanted on lesser charges surrendered and were taken into custody. Hacker was arrested on charges of rear license not illuminated, first-degree fleeing or evading police, first-degree wanton endangerment, reckless driving, serving a parole violation warrant, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of marijuana, the buying or possession of drug paraphernalia, and resisting arrest…
