Family reacts to Cincinnati police chief investigation extended into February

CINCINNATI (WXIX) – The investigation into Cincinnati Police Chief Teresa Theetge’s leadership has been extended through the end of February, prompting her family to speak out in her defense.

The city hired law firm Frost Brown Todd in October to investigate the effectiveness of Theetge’s leadership under a $40,000 contract that was scheduled to expire Tuesday. A city spokesperson said Monday the investigation is being extended to the end of February at an additional cost of $9,000.
