Community leaders launch $1 program to reduce youth violence after deadly start to 2025

CINCINNATI (WXIX) – Three days into the new year, three separate shootings have left four people hurt and an 11-year-old girl dead. As police search for suspects, community leaders say they are finding solutions with a program that costs just one dollar per community member.

Bishop Sonny James unveiled a new strategy pairing at-risk youth with advocacy groups through “The Called Into Action” movement. The program offers financial incentives to both youth and parents to encourage positive behavior and accountability.
