The Cincinnati Fire Department is opening its doors to the future guardians of the community with the launch of its 2026 Cadet Program. In a move to introduce young individuals to a career in fire service, the CFD has announced it is now accepting applications for this interactive and educational eight-week course. Announced via social media, the program targets Cincinnati youth, ages 14 to 18, aiming to develop both their professional and personal skills.
Participants can expect a hands-on experience that incorporates practical training with ladders and hoses, certifications in CPR and Stop the Bleed techniques, alongside an introduction to fire behavior and various rescue scenarios.
