‘A true fighter’: Injured dog Seven is making progress in her recovery

CINCINNATI (WKRC) – Seven, the dog likely hit by a train in Elmwood Place, continues to recover with help from Cincinnati Animal CARE.

Animal control brought the 2-year-old black German Shepherd mix in on New Year’s Eve. She was in critical condition and had lost one hind leg and part of her tail. She had a severe injury to her front right leg with exposed bone and infection, and extensive damage to her teeth, jaw, gums, and face.

The medical team at Cincinnati Animal CARE has provided much needed care and she went home with the organization’s medical director over the weekend. According to a social media post, “she began to relax, show her personality, and start being her true self.”…
