Violent Crime Reduction Operation in Cincinnati ends in multiple arrests

CINCINNATI — Officials said a recent violent crime reduction operation in Cincinnati led to multiple arrests and the confiscation of several illegally possessed firearms.

  • Officials determined that the vehicle the two suspects were driving had been reported stolen
  • Officials said in a separate incident, a stolen vehicle was located shortly after 10:30 p.m. where the driver failed to comply with a traffic stop and fled

The operation was on conducted on Monday, Jan. 12, 2026 by the Cincinnati Police Department, Ohio State Highway Patrol and Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office as part of Gov. Mike DeWine’s Violent Crime Reduction Initiative.
