Federal NIOSH workers fully reinstated after mass layoffs

CINCINNATI, Ohio (WOWK) — Employees laid off last year due to federal cuts at the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) will be reinstated, according to a release.

The American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) announced on Wednesday, Jan. 14, that workers who have received layoff notices will be with a job, after nine months of budget cuts within the Department of Health and Human Services.
