CINCINNATI (WXIX) -More than 400 University of Cincinnati students were forced to evacuate when fire broke out in a 14-story dorm on campus overnight, fire officials say.
An artificial Christmas tree started “a small fire” in a dorm room on the second floor at Morgens Hall on Scioto Lane around 10:19 p.m., according to the Cincinnati Fire Department.
Students were still evacuating when fire crews arrived and quickly knocked down the blaze.
