You can’t spotlight the Queen City without having a taste of what makes Cincinnati special: chili.
“CBS Evening News with Tony Dokoupil” broadcasted from Cincinnati on Jan. 15, as part of the show’s ongoing cross-country tour. While filming at the American Sign Museum, the show’s crew was served a build-your-own chili bar and Greek salad from Camp Washington Chili, according to a Facebook post from the restaurant.
The chili parlor posted a photo Jan. 16 of the set and Maria Papakirk, Camp Washington Chili’s second-generation owner, with Tony Dokoupil, the new evening anchor, writing, “Still kind of pinching ourselves after yesterday.”
The post adds Dokoupil then later even visited Camp Washington Chili in-person and ended his visit with ice cream…
