Cincinnati’s new music venue promises fan experience revolution, economic boost

CINCINNATI (WKRC) – The Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra (CSO) and Music & Event Management Inc. (MEMI) have released new details for The Farmer Music Center, a state-of-the-art outdoor venue planned along the Ohio Riverfront, adjacent to Riverbend Music Center, and scheduled to open in spring 2027. It will be built on the former Coney Island site.

Organizers said the venue will feature a vertical design intended to improve sightlines and sound quality for both audiences and performers. The Farmer Music Center will accommodate up to 20,000 people, including 8,000 reserved seats and a general-admission lawn with capacity for 12,000.

Plans call for 25 bars and concession stands, premium club spaces and box suites. The project is supported by a $60 million gift from the Farmer Family Foundation and is expected to generate more than $100 million annually in economic impact while boosting tourism and local business activity…
