Mail carrier says he was suspended after post about winter safety

HAMILTON COUNTY, Ohio (WXIX) – A local mail carrier said he is on emergency placement with no pay after expressing his safety concerns on Facebook.

After a winter storm brought heavy snow to the Tri-State, Jason Thompson, a local U.S. Postal Service mail carrier, said he arrived at the Fairfield facility Monday morning to find buried trucks and no packages to deliver.

“A lot of people aren’t aware of what we experience every day,” Thompson said. “That’s fine as carriers, we are kind of used to the expectation.”…
