Man admits to killing businessman Mike Sweeney in shooting on I-75

CINCINNATI (ENQUIRER) – The man accused of fatally shooting prominent businessman Michael Sweeney almost three years ago pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter on Jan. 28.

Randall Mickey, 39, wasn’t allowed to have or use a gun when Sweeney, a Greater Cincinnati automobile businessman, was killed in 2023, according to our partners at the Cincinnati Enquirer.

Mickey was convicted of voluntary manslaughter and other drug-related offenses after a plea agreement was reached. He was sentenced to 20 years by Hamilton County Common Pleas Judge Robert Winkler on Wednesday…
