A University of Cincinnati (UC) librarian who was arrested during a protest on the John A. Roebling Suspension Bridge has been found guilty of a single misdemeanor charge.
The verdict came on Feb. 4, 2026, at the end of Dr. Suzanne Bratt’s one-day trial in Kenton County district court. She was convicted by a six-person jury of failure to disperse. The jury imposed a $250 fine and court costs, totaling $394. District Judge Kenneth Easterling presided over the case. Bratt was initially charged with resisting arrest, but that charge was dropped a day earlier, on Feb. 3.
Bratt works as a cataloging librarian and interim head of UC’s Albino Gorno Music Library. She received a bachelor’s degree in music from Yale University and a doctorate in musicology from the University of Pennsylvania.
Bratt was among the 15 people arrested at a rally held in support of Imam Ayman Soliman, a former Cincinnati Children’s Hospital chaplain who was detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement on July 9, 2025.
