Four of Cincinnati’s oldest West Side parishes are making plans to merge into a new parish that would serve hundreds of Catholics who attend their churches and schools.
If the proposed merger wins the approval of the parish councils and, eventually, the Archdiocese of Cincinnati, a new parish named St. John Bosco would emerge from the consolidation of St. William, St. Teresa of Avila, St. Lawrence and Resurrection of Our Lord.
It’s unclear at this point how such a merger would impact Mass schedules, priest assignments, lay leadership, financial and property assets or the three schools that currently operate among the four parishes…
