Cincinnati firefighters rescue 11-year-old girl with autism near icy pond

CINCINNATI (WXIX) – Cincinnati firefighters rescued an 11-year-old girl with autism who was near an icy pond in one of the city’s parks.

Crews said they responded to Bramble Park in Madisonville around 6 p.m. Wednesday and found the child “standing precariously close to a small body of icy water.”

Working with the child’s father, firefighters lowered an extension ladder to reach the girl down a gully with a steep slope.

Once a firefighter reached her, she was placed on a ladder and reunited shortly after with her father…
