Superman Ditches Cleveland for Cincinnati in Sequel Shake-Up

The highly anticipated Superman sequel has locked in Ohio tax incentives, but with a twist for fans of the first film.

“Man of Tomorrow” — the follow-up to last summer’s blockbuster “Superman” film — has secured a $1.99 million Ohio motion picture tax credit. According to Cleveland.com, the production (operating under the working title “Exodus”) plans to shoot in Cincinnati, not Cleveland, which served as Metropolis in the original film.
