Local mom’s toy drive in honor of late son raises $13K

CINCINNATI (WKRC) – A local mom who lost her son to cancer is keeping his memory alive by helping other families.

This is the 10th year Tanya Kennedy Gill has put together a toy drive in honor of her son Christian.

“It’s not just about toys. It’s about those moments of light and the smiles. Because for just a brief moment, your kid is just a kid, and everything else kind of fades away. You get to see them playing and laughing, and everything that maybe went through that week or that day kind of fades into the background, and they’re just a kid being a kid.
