Man charged after allegedly breaking child’s leg during beating

CINCINNATI (WKRC) — A local man is facing a child endangerment charge after police said he hit a 5-year-old with a belt so hard he broke the child’s leg.

James McDonald, 43, was admitted to the Hamilton County Jail on Saturday. According to court documents, McDonald is accused of beating the child at a home in Colerain Township in December, causing serious bruising and a broken leg. The child’s broken leg had to be treated with surgery…
