Mother Accused of Pouring Boiling Water on Child, Attempted to Hide Severe Burns

A deeply disturbing case has emerged from Cincinnati, where a 24-year-old mother has been arrested after allegedly causing severe burn injuries to her young son.

What Happened

Authorities say the accused, Laneasha Walker, is currently being held at the Hamilton County Justice Center. She faces three counts of child endangerment following a shocking incident that left her son hospitalized with serious injuries.

The child was taken to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, where medical staff discovered second-degree burns covering nearly 10% of his body. Doctors also reportedly found signs of both old and recent burn injuries, raising serious concerns about ongoing abuse.

Allegations from Witnesses

According to police reports, the most recent incident is believed to have occurred on December 12, 2025. Investigators spoke with Walker’s other three children, who allegedly told officers they witnessed their mother pouring scalding hot water on their brother.

In an attempt to conceal the injuries, Walker is accused of covering the burns with diapers and long socks. Authorities say she initially refused to seek medical treatment and later misled others by claiming the child had already been seen by a doctor.
