Gas prices of NKY rise exponentially

Every driver around the country has been brutally aware of raising gas prices as of lately, with many unsatisfied with such exponential growth in prices. Gas prices–including some at over $4 per gallon, according to the American Automobile Association (AAA)–have driven customers away from head chains like Shell and ExxonMobil. Gas prices have risen demonstrably, as per AAA, from $2.83 per gallon in March 2025 to an average of $3.88 per gallon in Kentucky.

In fact, the national average price for gas has risen by a whole dollar in just one month. The diesel gas prices, especially, have risen incredibly. AAA sources also cite that, in March of 2025, the diesel average was $3.29, while the current diesel price is at an insane $5.09 right now in the state of Kentucky.

AAA claims that, in Campbell County, the regular gas price is $3.82, while in Boone County it’s $3.59 per gallon. In Kenton, it’s slightly higher at $3.68. Regular gas prices have climbed to over $4 per gallon in some stations in Kentucky, with average prices rising over $0.30 in the past week, as per WLWT.
