The Butler County Sheriff’s Office is investigating what officials describe as an apparent murder-suicide in a quiet suburban neighborhood north of Cincinnati.
Authorities say the investigation began after deputies conducted a welfare check on April 1.
Deputies responded to a home on Hidden Oaks Lane in Liberty Township after a concerned family member requested a welfare check.
According to reporting by local outlets including WCPO and Local 12, the caller had not heard from the residents for several days. The situation raised concern when their vehicle remained parked in the garage. When deputies entered the home, they discovered two individuals deceased inside.
Officials have not yet released the identities of the victims. Investigators also have not confirmed the relationship between the two individuals found inside the residence.
