2 juveniles, 1 adult charged with robbery, murder in death of Clermont County man

CLERMONT COUNTY, Ohio (WKRC) – What began as a report of a possible hit-and-run in New Richmond has been charged as a close-range killing tied to an alleged robbery and a broader drug investigation.

Clermont County Prosecutor Mark J. Tekulve announced that charges including aggravated murder and aggravated robbery were filed against three people in connection with the death of Jayden Nelson, 19, of New Richmond.

On March 8, 2026, at about 4:14 a.m., officers responded to 1070 Bethel New Richmond Road for a possible hit-and-run. When officers arrived, they found Nelson dead in the roadway.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol and the Clermont County Coroner’s Office noticed irregularities that did not align with a hit-and-run, according to the prosecutor’s announcement.
