I find it insulting to the rest of us Catholics that JD Vance has written a book called “Communion: Finding My Way Back to Faith” about his journey to Catholicism.
He obviously missed the part about the Ten Commandments. In particular, “Thou shalt not bear false witness” and “Thou shalt not kill.” He must not have read the gospels about humility and not promoting yourself or your claims of good deeds. And he certainly doesn’t understand the part about not monetarizing God and our faith.
